MINORITY REPORTYEAR OF RELEASE: 2002
DIRECTOR: Steven Spielberg WRITER: Philip K. Dick, Scott Frank CINEMATOGRAPHER: Janusz Kaminski EXEC. PRODUCER: Gary Goldman GENRE: SCIENCE FICTION / ACTION PRODUCTION DESIGNER: Alex McDowell STORYLINE: In 2054, murder has been virtually eliminated from Washington D.C. thanks to an elite law-enforcement squad using three clairvoyant people (called "Pre-Cogs") to see crimes before they happen. John Anderton heads this Precrime squad, and he believes the system is flawless until the Pre-Cogs predict that Anderton, himself, will murder someone he's never met in the next 36 hours. His only hope to avoid imprisonment for a murder he has yet to commit is to find a "minority report" from one of the Pre-Cogs who may have seen the future differently from the other two. |
