ACT GRAMMAR
(SUPERLATIVE) COMPARISON RULES:
Comparisons refer to the use of superlatives to address the differences and similarities between two things or among three or more things. Different superlatives are used depending on the number of things being compared and also the type of comparison being made; but the ACT mainly tests the difference between comparing two things and comparing three or more.
RULE: Comparisons between two things are formed by the construction, "_____ is better/more/less/worse or [adjective]/[adjective]-er than ______" while comparisons between three or more things are formed by the construction, "______ is the best/most/least/worst or [adjective]/[adjective]-est of the group."
